Thoughts for Health

October 23, 2014

While we are proud to work on CME/CE education that improves the lives of practitioners and patients alike, the importance of this field really hits home when one of our friends, family, or colleagues is impacted by a serious health issue. Please send your best thoughts and wishes to Global Program Manager Andrea Funk. On October 17, Andrea’s Mom, Lynn, was diagnosed with Chronic Myelogenous Leukemia (CML). A visit to the Ophthalmologist’s office started it all when they noticed severe retinal hemorrhaging and sent Lynn to the emergency room for immediate blood work. The family was informed later that day that Andrea’s Mom had cancer and would need to begin chemotherapy immediately. She responded well to treatment and transfusions thus far, and we all are keeping Andrea and Lynn in our hearts and tracking Lynn’s success daily on the following CaringBridge site. Please join us in sending healing wishes to Andrea’s Mom and the entire family!
